Where Does AI Fit In Recruiting?

As an experiment, I took a career test using AI.  I answered 100% truthfully and the results came back showing that I am not in the career I am supposed to be in.

This AI test takes your answers and provides you options for your dream career. There is no heart, no ear, no tone, no human touch. They want you to pay for the end results, of course. On one note, it did mention that I am more honest than others. Only 10% of people apparently are honest as I am who take this test (which is scary, if you ask me).

Why aren’t people transparent, especially when this is an anonymous test?

Why do people trust AI for answers? AI does not consider the human aspect of working towards a career of your choosing.  I am not saying that there is no place here for AI, but having a machine that chooses a career for me and does not listen to me, asking me personal questions about myself and knowing more about it and what makes me, me?

NO THANK YOU.

I have been a Professional Recruiter and Career Consultant for 31 years. AI says I’m in the wrong profession? I think I will stick with the human touch.

Let’s have a discussion about how to properly use AI to its fullest capabilities while keeping the most important element alive: the human aspect of hiring.
