Building Industry Relationships Helps Employers Hire Better and Stay Competitive
EMPLOYERS: THE PURPOSE OF BUILDING STRONG INDUSTRY CONNECTIONS
I really want to just to give you the reasons why, as employers, you should always stay connected within your industry, and I also want to give you the benefit of the doubt that you already know you should.
So, this is what I am going to share with you instead:
STAY CONNECTED, ASK QUESTIONS, RECRUIT THE FIRST PERSON THAT STRIKES YOU, AND STOP THINKING THAT YOU ARE GOING TO FIND THE “PERFECT” PERSON!!
When you are networking with professionals in your field, using all sorts of different channels, do you really network, or do you just chat? Are you making your presence known and valuable? Do you have a purpose for networking? (You always should, don’t forget that).
Are you continuously asking, who do you know? Do you have key questions to ask?
In this market, any group, all groups that relate to you should be involved in your networking. Make sure you spend some time researching others that will be attending the events you’re attending. Find out what they do, are they competition or better, a possible connection? When attending an event, do you get involved? Are you helpful? When was the last time you built up a few new relationships? And when you do, how do you build them? Remember, this is a two-way street, you must give to get.
Make sure you always have valuable content, offer advice only if asked, and connect with others and make connections for others. Just don’t do it because you must, you network to better your organization!!
EMPLOYERS-this market is ever changing. If you don’t change, how will your company stay successful?
Let’s discuss. Hit me up here.
